kde-thumbnailer-deb software package provides KDE plugin to show thumbnails of Debian package files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-thumbnailer-deb
kde-thumbnailer-deb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-thumbnailer-deb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-thumbnailer-deb *
You will get with kde-thumbnailer-deb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
